Candy Cane Eyes!

Hey Guys!! It's less than two weeks till Christmas! Anyone else excited?
I'm working over Christmas and we're allowed to dress up at work so I wanted to do something OTT makeup wise! I'm thinking of going as an Elf so I've gone for candy cane eyes! (because Elf's love sugar ;) )

I'm soo upset that I can't find my camera charger!! I'm going to have to buy a new one because I'm finding it hard to live without!! failing that... I might buy a new camera! The Nikon 1 looks pretty cool...

To create this looks I used my NYX 78 shadow palette, along with red and white MUA eyeliners.
I started off by lining where I wanted my cut crease with a black eyeliners, and then created the candy cane look on my eyeliner with eyeliner, and then went over the top with the co-ordinating eyeshadow colours.
For the crease I went in with a light green first, and then went over it with Mac's woodsmoke and NYX black eyeshadow.
My mascara, as always is Mac's zoom black lash mascara :)

I'm a complete idiot and forgot to put any products on my face! I don't even have foundation on! So out of the photos I took, this was the best one I could find!

On my lips is Elf's Fearless Lipstick. It's such a gorgeous creamy red!

hope you guys like my look :) please leave me a comment!

Green and Gold Eyes....

I'm feeling super christmassy this year! Working in a shop, it's kind of pushed in your face all the time! Really getting into doing Christmas makeup so here's another eyeshadow look :) The gold looks a heck of a lot more yellow on here which is kind of annoying... looks better gold!

Eyebrows are a mess, sorry about that. And I STILL can't find my camera charger! D':
Anyway... It's a pretty basic look, I did add some glitter over the top which you can see in the last photo and it look beautiful but didn't come up very well in photos.

The majority of the colours were from my NYX 78 eyeshadow palette. I am totally in love with this palette! It has pretty much every colour I'd ever need in it! For my brow highlighter I used Mac's 'Baby, It's cold...' and in the crease 'Woodsmoke' both from their glitter and ice collection.

I was chuffed to see this pic on the first page on the pics on beautylish! I know it sounds ridiculous but it made me smile like mad! :)

My mascara is Mac's zoom fast black lash and is my current favourite. I used to use Maybelline's colossal mascara but I always ended up with panda eyes where it rubbed off! I've not had a problem at all with this one!
My eyeliner is maybelline's gel eyeliner in black. Gel eyeliner is always my go to eyeliner! For me it lasts 10x longer than any other eyeliner.

In this pic you can just about make out the glitter! It really didn't want to photograph which sucks because it looked gorgeous!

I hope everyone's feeling nice and christmassy! I'm addicted to listening to Sugarland's album, Green and gold at the moment! Gonna start on the xmas movies soon! Already watched Love Actually but that's a film you have to watch at LEAST 3 times before Christmas! I'm thinking Elf next though...

Christmas Pudding Nails!

Christmas is just around the corner and being as sad as I am, I've done some funky ass nails! They're lil' Christmas Puddings and I'm in love with them!
I've done them on false nails because I'm not allowed to wear nail varnish to work! BOO!
Tools needed: large and small dotting tool. (I cheat and use different size pins and toothpicks!)
you could also use rhinestones for the holly, optional.

Nail varnishes I used: OPI Alpin Snow, OPI Tease-y does it, Barry M 115, No7 Devil's Delight, the green is a franken I did myself :), Maybelline salon manicure top coat.

This little beaut should be the outcome :D sadly I've lost my camera charger so shuddy pics, sorry!

First off I did a white base coat using OPI Alpine Snow, then a coat of barry m, just to get a nice solid base colour.

Then, either 1 or 2 coats of OPI Tease-y does it. I think it's my Favourite ever nail polish! It's soo gorgeous! It's just so many colours in one! Brown, red, gold, purple.... just gorgeous!

Nice clean table eh? Once it's all dry, grab a large dotting tool and the white again, and make uneven dots all joined in a line, so it looks like drips! Then join it all up at the top. :) Simples

This really is the only tricky bit! Use a small dotting tool, toothpick, whatever to create three small red berrys top-centre of the nail. Then, the holly! I hated doing this bit! I cheated and used an old pair of tweezers! the slanted edge was the perfect shape for the holly leaves, I didn't want to do into too much detail with them because I would have ruined them probably!
Alternatively, you could used rhinestones which looks super cute too!

And then you're near enough done! I left mine for a day and then added a top coat, I didn't want to do all that work and then smudge it! Just make sure they're mega dry before you add yours!

Broken down into steps this look is really easy to do! Please give it and go and post your looks!

Hope every ones getting in the christmassy mood!

Love & Peace x

Coming to an E.L.F near you...

Hi guys! Hope every one's having a good week, mine's going amazingly so far! I got chosen by E.L.F to review their new lipsticks and I'm so excited!! They came today so I got stuck in straight away to bring you my review ASAP :)

So, here is goes....

Theses little beauties are the wonderful new colours! In order they are (L-R) Charming, Nostalgic, Captivating, Flirtatious, Sociable & Fearless.

Without Flash
With Flash (look how gorgeous Sociable is!)
I think what I was most surprised with about these lipsticks is how pigmented they all are! And I mean, ALL of them. With darker lipsticks, like Fearless, it's often the case that they don't come out the colour they look but oh boy, they do! Also, because its so cold out at the moment, my lips aren't in great condition so I was a little worried about putting them on, because I've got a cremesheen from Mac and it makes my lips look 10x worse! However, it wasn't even noticeable with these beauts! They're soo creamy and moisturising that they glide on for instant perfection!

For £1.50, I really don't see how you can go wrong and I'm finding it soo hard to chose a favourite! I love nude lips when I'm doing really dramatic eyes so Nostalgic is fantastic for that, Captivating is a gorgeous orange which is perfect for autumn, Flirtatious is going to be my go-to colour for everyday and Fearless certainly has the WOW factor!
To give you a clue to how they look on, here's some pics :)

First up, Charming - a matte, dusty rose colour. Near enough my natural lip colour so brilliant if you don't like to over-do it on the lips. It still gives off a lovely glossy finish and is moisturising so doing you good too!

Nostalgic - a gorgeous nude which would look great with dramatic, smokey eyes. A good reference for it would be E.L.F's natural nymph; it's a shade darker and whereas that one has a very matte finish, Nostalgic has a glossy finish.

Captivating - a gorgeous warm orange, perfect for autumn days! Looks great with brown eyes. don't be put off by the colour in the tube because it looks soo pretty on! Dare to be different! I've been wearing orange shades for weeks now and all I've got is compliments!

(It's like I'm Zoolander and I only have one look! haha) This one is called Flirtatious - It's such a pretty pink! Not so daring that it's noticable a mile off, but bright enough to make your lips to die for! I wore this out and the first thing my friend said when I saw her was "I love your lips!" *A very popular colour for celebs this time of year! check out Fearne Cotton, she seems to be wearing it all the time!
Sociable - the only one of the new colours with some shimmer to it! Personally I usually go for matte colours and add a shimmery gloss if wanted; however, this has pinky goldy flecks of shimmer and is so creamy and glossy already you'd never need a lipgloss again! Definitely a lipstick worthy of a night out on the town.

Last but not least, Fearless! And you have to be fearless to wear it! OH MY GOD, if you've ever wanted a pillar box red lippy, look no further! This is the only one you'll ever need! I want to upload every photo I took of me wearing it because it's so eye catching and stunning! All I need is a black wig and I'm Snow White! "...lips as red as blood..." Bingo!

I was hoping there would be a colour that I didn't like, or there'd be something wrong with it so I can tell you guys and it wouldn't make me look like I was saying how amazing it was just because I got sent them. But to be completely honest, I can't find a thing I don't like about them! If I was going to be really picky then I'd say that I'd prefer the tube to be black, not silver - but then it would look like it was from their studio line! So I really can't complain!

They are all priced seperately as £1.50 each and should be available to buy by the end of the week! E.L.F has just done a 40% off sale and are constantly being super lovely and giving Elfette's free P&P or free gifts so I'd definitely go check out their site :) It's http://www.eyeslipsface.co.uk/

If you like my post, please leave a message or follow - it means the world to me :)
ALSO - I'll add a post soon about my overall look :) eyes etc...

Disclaimer: Products were sent to be by the brand for potential review, however, I am completely honest with what I say and my opinion of products won't be swayed.

Pay Day Shopping!

I recently started a new job and it was my first pay day yesterday!! I've had the biggest smile on my face since, knowing there's money in my bank account!
To celebrate, I felt like spending some! So these are my lovely purchases, I haven't taken pictures of the clothes so I'm just going to use the ones I've found online (and one from glamour magazine)

First up the clothes... I seemed to have gone for a bit of a theme... black, grey and metallic!

When I first saw this I wasn't too sure about it, but I tried it on and loved it! It's got silver, gold and white metallic circles here and there and it's about a medium/large knit. I got it from TK Maxx (originally from Motel) and it was priced as £16.99 but there was a little whole in it so I got it for £15!

I also got a pair of black Levi's jeggings which I am totally in love with! Online they're $58 but in TK Maxx they were £19.99!

This pretty little number is from H&M and was £29.99. I saw it in this months Glamour Magazine and fell in love with it instantly! The only problem with it for me is that it's a high neck line, and my boobs aren't exactly small so I feel a little squashed in it! For that reason also it doesn't fall exactly how it's meant to but it still looks amazing, I just have to stand up straight!

whilst I was paying for my dress in H&M I spotted something sparkling out of the corner of my eye, soon to realise it was the MOST GORGEOUS NAIL POLISH EVER! They always have little things in baskets by the counter and that's what this was. There were three colours and I picked up two of them.

This one is called Kiss Goodnight and is a gorgeous shimmery dark grey colour which reflects silver in the light, the amount of shimmer in this polish is insane! H&M bring out different accessorise with Disney characters on them and this is one of them, The picture on the front of the bottle is of Minnie and Mickey Mouse kissing, N'aww....

This is the gorgeous colour that caught my eye! Ahhh I can't stop staring at it it's soo pretty! It's a clear gel with big facets of silver glitter and also small bits of silver glitter too! Here's a close up of the polish over Fearne Cotton's Silver...

These two colours are quickly becoming my favourite polishes at the moment! And for only £1.99 each I'm definitely going to have to look to see what else they've got! And for a clothing store I'm really impressed with the quality of the product. The polish is quite thick with really good colour pay off. I'd upload pictures of it on my nails but I have work at 7am (it's 12:20am now) and I'm not allowed nail varnish at work D':

However I'm sure it will feature as NOTD pretty soon!

Nail Varnish Frenzy!

Recently I've been addicted to buying nail varnish which SUCKS seeming I'm not allowed to wear it to work! Genuinely thought about quiting! Haha! Only for about a split second before I realized I actually NEED the money. Make-up is an expensive addiction...
So these are the nail varnishes I've collected out on my shopping trips in the last 3 weeks...

My first collection...  recently we had a TK Maxx open up on the isle of wight which i am THRILLED about! I keep finding amazing things like Pixi, Stila, O.P.I, Tigi, Pop, Benefit.... the list goes on! I picked up the gorgeous Pixi polish (no.15, a bright bright bright pink/purple!) for only £2.99! It is by far my current favourite polish! It's such a statement colour!
My sister Minxed my a while back and i had a 20% off voucher for New Look so i used it on the Nail Rock nail wraps (basically minx). Never Again. They would of been amazing if someone else did them, but I don't have the patience for things like this... I love nail wraps because you can get gorgeous effects like holographic or mirrored effect wraps and they last weeks on toe nails so I'd definitely say it's worth the money but get a professional to do it!
The BYS polish caught my eye merely for the fact that it's UV, and it certainly is! It cost £2 from StoreTwentyOne and comes in about 7 colours... love it!
The greeny coloured one is a cheapy glow in the dark varnish and is not worth being in the photo, it's shockingly bad. Texture like glue and does not glow!
The Maybelline Salon Manicure Varnish is the best clear/top coat varnish I have ever had! It's sooo shiny! I adore this! I used it over my pastel polka manicure and had it on for a week without any chips! <3 <3 <3

This is the second load, a bit more interesting!
No.7 have been giving out £5 vouchers lately, note why I have 3 more of their polishes! In order they are: Devils Delight, Salsa & Vivid Violet. I haven't used the last 2, I might give them as Christmas presents because they're soo pretty, But Devils Delight is the perfect pillar box red!
The next two I bought for the mere fact that I didn't own a gold nail polish! The first is Collection 2000 in Shimmy Shake and is a clear varnish with fairy dust like particles of gold. It is sooo sparkly and looks gorgeous over black! The next is by 17 in Fury and is a metallic bronze/gold which looks amazing on!
I'd be very suprised if anyone reading this doesn't already know the Revlon polish but just incase, It's Facets of Fuchsia and it is AH-MAZE-ING. I had to hunt around for this polish, it was sold out everywhere and I can totally see why! It's a black gel based varnish with 2 sizes of glitter, one facet shaped and the colour, obviously is fuchsia. Layered and Matted this varnish looks fantastic and is to die for!
Now on to my beautiful O.P.I's.... The first I found hidden at the back of a shelf in Tk Maxx in a set with a lipgloss for £6.99! Bargain! It's from the Burlesque Collection, called Tease-y Does It and is my autumn colour!
And finally, my own and only O.P.I shatter which my sister picked up in NY for $4! It's in Turquoise and I want the colour soo bad as a normal polish! as much as I love shatter, you can't do a lot with it but it's freeking awesome!

I have recently bought another, but it's soo nice that it deserves a post just on it's own...

Sorry for boring you with a heck of a lot of writting!

Love & Peace x

NOTW

I have been so slack with posts lately! Sorry! Life's been pretty hectic; got myself a new job, passed my driving theory, started my new job... a little mad but wonderful at the same time :)

So, because I've been so slack I'm doing a Nails of the Week post... just the nails I've had over the past week basically :)

I absolutely love this!! I found hidden at the back of a shelf in TK Maxx, a O.P.I set of a nail varnish and lip gloss, and this was the colour. It's from the Burlesque collection and it's Tease-y Does It. It's such a gorgeous colour! In different kinds of light it looks red, purple, brown, black... it's just amazing! For the Gold Gradient, I used 'Shimmy Shake' from Collection 2000.

The next one i did was Pastel Polkas. I wanted something a bit more dulled down, but still me! This look was really easy and fun to do, and would work with basically every colour going. I've used OPI's Alpine Snow, Teal from ELF and the pastel green is by Barry M... but i can't remember the name!
I bought a new top coat from Maybelline, salon professional extra shine blah... something, which i used on this and I have NO chippage what so ever! It fantastic! And the shine was soo pretty too! Would really recommend it!

I did have a go with my Halloween nails but then my lack of patience kicked in and i gave up! The pumpkin was just too much for me and i didn't like the others! Weren't as good as when I first did it so they came straight off! A shame really....

...so I went for something a little simpler! I got this gorgeous bright purple/pink from TK Maxx, it's from the brand Pixi in No.15 and i'm in love with it! It's not like a colour i've ever seen before! I got it for £2.99 and on the website it's £10! BARGAIN! For the black i've just used my Wah nail art pen and then filled it in with a black polish from Star Gazer.
This look could be used for so much over Halloween, I thought it was a pretty safe option!

Hope you like them, let me know what you think :) I'll do a post on my new polishes soon, I've bought so many in the past few week I think they deserve a mention!

Love & Peace xx

Hallowe'en Nail Art! Pumpkin!

Hey guys, I mentioned this in my last post, sorry it's such a bad photo, it was taken on my phone! I would have gotten a better one but by the time I got my camera I'd already ruined the nail! Just my luck...

It's soo cute! Definitely going to be doing these on my nails at some point! The orange is lush and glittery! My friend complained that there wasn't enough glitter in my other ones! haha

Hope you guys like it

O.P.I Shatter, turquoise

I have the most amazing sister! She went to New York last week and picked me up some amazing things! She knows me too well...

This is just a quick post on one of the things she got for me, the beautiful shatter polish by O.P.I in turquoise! I live in the UK and O.P.I polishes are really hard to come by where I am so I was thrilled when I got this! Over here it would cost at LEAST £10... she picked it up for $4!!!! OH MY GAHHHH!!!

I cannot wait till I got to Florida in March, Sooo much shopping is going to happen!

I was way too excited about this so I didn't have time to clean my nails up before I took the picture! In this photo I'm wearing it with 'Check Me Out', a corally pink from H&M. The combo is insane! Looking forward to using it in the winter, over a silver or pearly white, will look really cute!

Hallowe'en Nail Art!

First of all...Sorry for the lack of posts lately! I've had a lot on and have been majorly ill :(

However... HALLOWE'EN'S COMING! Wohoo!! Love it! I really can't wait, I'm such a big kid! I don't get to dress up this year however because no-one's having a party :( So I'm just going to do some awesome cool nail art instead! I'll celebrate in my own way ;)

So far these are the looks that I've got :D

Sorry for the Shuddy picture. And for only having one photo!
I LOVE these nails! I can't wait to try them out for hallowe'en! I'm going to do a couple of other looks, something with more glitter and more girly I think! I've also done a pumpkin which is wicked cool but I only have a photo of it on my phone... will try and add it at a later date :)

The first one I'm really disappointed with so lets forget about that one...
The second is a cute little devil!
The third is a mummy, and I think he's my favourite!
The forth is Dracula! (freaky ass book)
The fifth is Frankenstein! I kinda like him too... easiest to do as well!

These are soo easy to do! I found some photos online and some youtube videos so just browse around and I'm sure you'll be able to find anything you need to know to get these looks!

The only tools I needed to create these were a black nail art polish and a home made dotting tool! (pencil + needle)

Hope you guys try some nail art looks out! I wanna see them if you do!

X-Men Series...Mystique

I know, Mystique isn't actually an x-men, but she's in the series, so I did her! She's an awesome character and when you've got a person who's blue, you kind of have to do a makeup look for her!

Sorry I haven't posted in a while, I'm currently really ill! And I did do a look for Storm but I'm not loving it, so I'm currently oohing and ahhing whether or not to upload it!

but anyway....

My Mystique look is a very simple one, can definitely be worn out (to the right places!) but not exactly what I'd call 'daytime'. My look is based around her colours; blue, red & yellow (from her eyes) and I also tried to keep the colours in propotion as much as I could.

My Urban Decay Liquid Liner in Gash was the PERFECT colour for her hair!!! It was my main inspiration for doing this look! I didn't apply any eyelashes because sometimes they just look a bit 'too much'. The more I wore this look, the more I loved it! But I was very disappointed with the pigmentation of my blue eyeshadows from my Collection 2000 POP palette, so I also used my Sleek palette which is such a God send, my acid and storm palettes at the moment seem to have every colour I need in them! Definitely going to have to get their other palettes...

I haven't worn make-up in so long that It was a nice change to do a quick little look. Instantly made me feel better! The yellow on the inner half of my lower lash line was a nice soft colour, for me it was defintely enough, not too bold! But I do want to invest in some eyeshadows with INSANE pigmentation, so if anyone has any suggestions, then please let me know!

Let me know what you think of this look :) would be lovely to hear what you think!

Love & Peace x
